Little Hands At Work

My students need a wide variety of manipulatives to strengthen their fine motor skills, including puppets, puzzles, a lacing tree, a counting tree and sand molds.

Children need manipulatives to work their little hands while at play. They don't even realize there is any work involved. Isn't this the best type of learning? My energetic preschool class is a mixture of 16 children with developmental delays and peers. They range in age from 3 to 5 years old.

With such a wide variety of abilities, it is always a challenge to keep little ones engaged and interested. They require a vast assortment of different fine motor activities to strengthen their little hands for the harder skills of writing and cutting.

I am requesting a collection of manipulatives which target different fine motor skills. The children would practice lacing a tree, snapping gingerbread men, sorting frogs, counting leaves, filling sand molds, completing puzzles, manipulating magnets, geo-lastic boards, and puppets.

Your generous gift will ensure that my students will have the opportunity to explore and learn in a fun and exciting environment while building fine motor skills.
