Little Free Library

Help me give my students access to books. Student council is planning to provide a Little Free Library to an elementary school in our community to help foster literacy skills & a love of reading!

My Project

This project is on behalf of the student council. Our plan is to provide a Little Free Library for two of the elementary schools in our community. Access to free books statistically increases literacy rates as well as fostering a love of reading. The Little Free Library project is incredibly important in historically underfunded communities. Their website has a lot of statistics on the impact in low income/high need communities. We decided on this for our fall community service project in order to connect high school to the larger Burlington community.
