I teach in an inclusive Pre-K classroom. We have 20 students including Head Start, Pre-K Counts, and Special Needs. They are curious, creative and ready to be challenged! They love any hands-on learning and would greatly benefit from more interactive tools. Each child brings their own gifts and challenges to our classroom. They require a variety of activities to meet their specific needs!
My class loves to read!
I would love to set up a cozy area in my room for students to listen to stories and draw pictures of their favorite adventures from books. We need a listening area!
My Project
The felt pieces and board will help my students retell stories. The pictures of emotions will help my students learn to recognize feelings in others. These items will increase vocabulary, help students understand and remember what we read, and play cooperatively.
Working vertically allows my students to cross their mid-line, increase core strength, and prepare their brains for learning.
Preschoolers need to explore their environment in many ways. These toys will help them find new and inventive ways to learn and explore.
My students are learning English and the felt pieces will help spark conversation! Increasing their willingness to speak to friends and teachers. Helping them become more comfortable using their emerging English vocabulary!
