My Project
Every child’s job is play!
I teach little humans who are always thirsty for educational toys and manipulatives.
Every single play is an opportuniy to learn. My students are 3 and 4 year old children who have Special Educational needs. This is why I am requesting manipulatives, sensory item (spinning chair) and storage cabinets.
The manipulatives are always a must for young learners. You can never have too many manipulatives and toys in a Special Education Preschool class. My students love to explore, count, use their hands to manipulate and build. I will be using the spinning chair for sensory breaks. Young learners are constantly moving, running and spinning. Whenever their body need it, they have to satisfy the need for sensory break.
Storage cabinets will be used to help organize my classroom. My students love to play and will grab stuff that they see. Having a locked cabinet will encourage them to stop, make a request of an item that they want and therefore motivate them to communicate.
My goal for this project is to organize the classroom, provide a safe and child-centered environment and address other educational needs such as communication development.
My students are great learners, and they are strong, resilient and fun to teach!
