My Students

In our room we are 21st century learners. We learn to communicate and collaborate with our peers. We are creative and persevere when we are challenged. Students in my classroom love to build, design and engineer. However, my school is a Title I school, meaning our students are coming from low income families, where they do not have as many opportunities as other children.

My students come to school energetic and ready to learn every day!

Our classroom is a safe place where students can take risks and challenge each other.

My Project

As a 21st century teacher, I know just how important it is for students to play and explore. I am teaching first grade this year and need more materials for students to play and build with.

My students are naturally curious learners.

They want to play, build and design. With these building materials, students will have a chance to engage in exploration. My students are also coming from low income households, where they do not have materials like this at home. I would love to provide them with multiple opportunities to explore and build. These students are growing up in a world where we need more problem solvers, engineers, designers and these materials will help support them in their future. My students will use these materials during our innovation lab time.
