Little Coders, Big Dreams: The Blue-Bot Revolution 2

Help me give my students two Blue-Bot programmable robots to integrate computer science across content areas!

FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Trickey's classroom raised $322

My Project

As a technology teacher at three elementary schools, I enhance learning with engaging technology. I've seen Blue-Bots greatly impact young students, and I'm seeking funding for an additional two to introduce coding and robotics to our youngest learners. I aim to provide hands-on experiences that develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and a love of learning across all three schools.

Introducing coding early with Blue-Bots provides a strong foundation for future success in our technological world.

Blue-Bots are designed for young children, with a simple interface and durable construction. These programmable robots teach coding concepts through play. Students program Blue-Bots using directional language to navigate mats and complete challenges, developing essential sequencing, estimation, and debugging skills. Unlike similar robots, Blue-Bots offer a unique progression: from on-device to computer coding, preparing them for more advanced methods. Blue-Bots are invaluable in elementary technology programs.

These Blue-Bots will transform science activities at my schools, especially in teaching about climate and the environment. Students can program the robots to simulate a river's journey, learning about water pollution's impact, or model deforestation by removing trees (obstacles) from a forest mat. These activities help students visualize complex environmental concepts and understand conservation. Students will collaborate to design challenges, program the robots, and test solutions. This hands-on approach makes abstract concepts accessible, fosters understanding of coding principles, and promotes teamwork. I'm confident these robots will spark a passion for STEM and empower students to be creative problem-solvers! Thank you in advance for considering our request!
