This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My early childhood classroom is composed of 20 amazing Spanish/English bilingual learners. My classroom needs materials and supplies that support the artistic, social emotional, and pre-literacy development of young learners. Our school district has a high number of children living in poverty and has a diverse population of students from different backgrounds. Our school has a large number of English language learners and students who qualify for free or reduced-price school lunch. Please support my classroom by helping my students have access to classroom materials and supplies that will enhance their educational experiences.
My Project
My 20 amazing bilingual explorers need a variety of classroom materials to enhance their early development. Children learn while they explore and play. They need hands-on materials that engage all their senses and spark their curiosity for learning. My students need a light table and manipulatives for exploring and learning.
My explorers need a tabletop light table and exploring manipulatives will help my students explore scientific concepts and develop sensory skills.
The tabletop light table will complement the classroom environment, while ensuring student learning and exploration. The project also includes a variety of light table accessories and manipulatives that will promote exploration, sensory development, pre-literacy skills, and scientific thinking. Some of these items include letters, numbers, and light table sensory play materials. The project also includes color-mixing lenses to help us learn about colors and see the world thorough a different light. The dinosaur bones matching and measuring set will support our students as they learn about dinosaurs and scientist concepts.
