My Students

My school is located in a small community with a population of around 800. Our student population is high poverty and highly mobile. As a district, we currently qualify for 100% free lunch due to our high percentage of students from poverty backgrounds.

My students are active, curious and so eager to learn!

I think one of the best things ever is helping young children develop a love of learning. It is so rewarding to see how much my little students grow during the year.

My Project

In my classroom it is difficult to create the beautiful art projects that inspire us. I have to plan art in a rotation so kids get to use the paint brushes. Some of our brushes are held together with masking tape! We have very few color choices for paint projects and many of our paints are old and dried up. We need Prang washable tempera paints and Kids Colour Shaper Sets. These supplies will allow my very young students the opportunity to create! Kindergarten has become quite rigorous and I believe our kids need to have a creative outlet. Kids need art! We will be so very appreciative of every single donation.
