This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My kindergarten students are eager to learn and hear stories. So much emphasis is on literacy (and rightfully so!) but they also need an outlet to be creative and represent what they've learned.

Allowing students the materials, space and time to be creative is a way they can make connections to stories and literature through every day art!

Students will use these materials such as paper, watercolors and glitter to create artwork as a representation of what they’ve learned and read. They can create backdrops of the settings in our stories and the characters within them.
