This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My wonderful students come from the neighborhood around the school and are a delight to teach. We are a Title I school, and the boys and girls represent a diverse population. I love my position as the school librarian and enjoy seeing the classes once per week. I select a variety of books for each table to review during library class each week. These books are placed on the table and the students read and review them while waiting for their turn to check out a library book. This is the highlight of many of the students' library visits. Some of the most popular books we have are in our literary review section.
My Project
My students come to the library every week excited to look at our literature collection. I have a variety of books selected each week for each table to review. These books are stacked on the table and the students get to review them while waiting to check out their weekly library books. We would love to have divided tubs to our literature review collection. Your donation would help improve the use of our literature review collection.
With the literature review buckets, we would be able to put together a selection of books and rotate them each week.
Each table would get a different collection of books to review each week. After all the buckets have been rotated through each table, the books would be changed. This would be a very organized way to store our literature review collection.
