Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students do not often have exposure to literature that reflects the communities of which they are a part. Even our school library is unfortunately limited in its access to new and culturally relevant literature.
These books will help my students fall in love with words and see the world.
A robust classroom library helps remove barriers that might prevent students from going to a library or otherwise selecting books for their own reading. My goal for this project is to help students identify the books they are interested in and read independently outside of class.
