Literature for Learning

My students need an individual copy of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe to use as a resource for writing, skills practice, and be able to read at their own pace.

My Students

Do you remember the intrigue offered by an incredible, memorable, whimsical book you once read? Did you realize that you were learning while reading that amazing book? My students love to take the reigns and delight in interacting with literature in multiple ways to master skills and expand their love for learning. This project would create the opportunity for my students to have their own book to explore and participate in countless activities!

My students are avid readers, compassionate, and enthusiastic learners!

Many of my students enjoy reading but resources in our rural area school can be difficult to come by. This project would improve their knowledge of genres, spark conversations about the story, improve comprehension skills, and continue to develop a love for reading! That is just to name a few of the benefits that comes with having high-quality literature at their fingertips!

My Project

The class set of books of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe will enhance our classroom library with high quality literature that I strive to expose my students to. The students will have their own copy to learn from, read at their own pace, and learn to take pride in caring for their own book. The books in our library are chosen with my students in mind to enhance the magnitude of what can be learned from the literature and encourage them to be lifelong readers.

By donating to this project, my students will have the materials to improve their love for reading and increase academic achievement.

This title will diversify our classroom library so students will have a variety of books to choose from. This piece of literature will give them the opportunity to escape to a whimsical world where they are learning and are having fun while doing it!
