Literature Circles With Diverse, Contemporary Books

Help me give my students a literature circle experience with some contemporary Advanced Placement level books.

My Project

My AP Literature and Composition students have been working so diligently this year with complex materials, and now, with your support, I would like to give them the experience of having a book club with diverse, contemporary authors who give a rich and wonderful perspective on our world. So far, we have read The Bluest Eye, Frankenstein, and The Awakening. Although they are all classics, I would love for the kids to see how amazing and inspirational the authors of today are as well. Please help me to make this a reality for my students who are working so hard.
