My students are those craving to be challenged. They are longing for knowledge and are tired of reading the same books. I want to introduce them to books that have a lot of depth and meaning. I believe they will enjoy reading this book because it has many concepts about following blindly. They have to be careful as a generation to not fall into the same trap as the characters in the novel.
I believe this book is a wonder example of how societies can change without anyone being fully aware.
My school is a small school with a diverse population. It is very difficult to get other school libraries in the county to lend books so my students have access to these authors. When I mention this title to parents at our open house, they were extremely excited.
My Project
With these materials, my students will be able to enter into a world where animals rule. They can find many similarities from the society that is formed when the animals take control of the farm and many societies throughout the history of the world. They can compare the dictatorship created by Napoleon to other dictators they will learn about in their Social Studies class.
Donations to my project will allow students to be introduced to an author they have never read.
I am hoping this will help my students continue to seek out authors from different time periods. This novel will allow students to continue to challenge themselves and they will hopefully continue to grow as readers! This novel set is something that I can use year after year.
