Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Twenty-five wanna-be readers, in a grade 5 class, in a high-need community, want to become grade level readers! I want to be able to put books in the hands of ALL students.

We had many budget cuts this year and therefore no extra money to buy independent reading books for the children entering my class. Many of my students want to become great readers, but lack the resources to do so. This will supply the books they desperately want and need.

To start with, a small classroom library of below leveled books can hook them in. We have many grade level books, but they get frustrated. I want to hook them in and guide them along the way to be successful readers and grow into grade-level readers.

Your donation will send my students along the right path. In order for students to be successful in school, they need to be readers and I want to give them that opportunity!
