My Project

I'm seeking to acquire a class set of "Because of Winn-Dixie" books to facilitate literacy circles with my 3rd grade students. These books will provide a shared reading experience, enabling students to delve into discussions, enhance their comprehension skills, and foster a love for reading. By using "Because of Winn-Dixie," students will connect with relatable characters and themes, enriching their understanding and empathy.

The goals for this project are to boost reading engagement, improve critical thinking, and develop collaborative discussion skills.

Through literacy circles, students will learn to express their ideas confidently and consider multiple perspectives.

What makes my students special is their diverse backgrounds and eagerness to learn. Their curiosity and energy create a dynamic learning environment, and with the right resources, they can achieve remarkable growth and success.
