Literacy Treasures for Our Kindergarteners!

Help me give my students 20 print and wipe boards to express themselves doing a variety of writing activities throughout the day.

My Students

I co-teach a group of curious, energetic little ones who come to school each day ready to work together and have a fun day. We love how they go about following morning routines to prepare for the day.

It is so lovely to see one of our children walk over and lead a friend to their seat with a hug when they notice a "not so happy" face after saying good-bye to mom!

It is lovely to see another child remind one of their friends to do something they may have forgotten. It is a delight to watch them becoming responsible, respectful and sensitive individuals!

My Project

The 20 write and wipe boards will be used everyday during whole class mini-lessons during our Writing and Reading workshops, for our small group work, as well as during our Literacy Centers.

Individual write and wipe boards will allow each child to focus on their own work, enable us to see exactly what each child is doing, as well as provide an easy place for them to show and share their work.

The Portable CD Player will be used during Literacy Centers to inspire our young writers by listening to the work of other authors. The small teaching easel will be used to support our work in small groups, as well as in Literacy Centers. The Pre-Writing Magnetic Board will offer support to those who need a little extra practice to further develop their fine motor skills. This project will help enrich their literacy experiences throughout the day and help them grow as life-long writers!
