My Students

My students are a unique group of students at a Title One Public School. We have 20 preschoolers in our class and our most important job is for them to love school and have the confidence that they are "readers"and "writers". This will help them to have the confidence to take risks They are an active bunch and have many needs. This is their first school experience and for many of them, it's their first time away from home. They are a lively group and are very excited about learning and books!

My Project

My preschool kiddos love to play, and I love to teach them through play. By purchasing these puppets, students will be able to refine their storytelling skills of some of their favorite stories by acting them out. It is very powerful when you can read a book to students and they can use materials to act out the book it recreate the story. These puppets would allow them to do so. They love make believe and they love to act. Puppets are a fun way to do this! Putting on puppet show for each other is a great way to practice speaking and listening skills among others.
