My Project

I LOVE reading and I want to help my students learn to LOVE reading for life! Sadly, I lost my job as a middle school English teacher to covid and I have had to start over. Thankfully I found my perfect job as a reading teacher working with students who are a little behind grade level struggling with reading and are behind grade level. I am working with them to catch them up, but I am hoping to build and infect them with the same life-long love of reading that I have.

So I am pretty much starting over and in need of everything.

My students come to my class to read in small groups with me and with their peers, so I am trying to set up my class like a big library, but with comfy chairs and low work tables that makes reading at school MORE FUN! I want book-filled bookcases all around the class, fun chairs in some areas and rugs and pillows in other areas to appeal to the students different ideas of inviting and comfort.
