Literacy Station Fun!

Help me give my students a sturdy stand to display our favorite books and a TPT gift card for hands on learning stations.

My Project

One of our favorite times of the day is when we do literacy stations. During this time students are working in groups doing different fun activities. One group may be doing their iReady ipad time while others are looking at books. Some will be working on word work activities and another group is doing small group instruction at my table. In order for literacy stations to go smoothly the activities need to be engaging and my students need to be able to do them independently.

One station my students love is library station.

They get to read or look at books we have read in the classroom on a comfy cushion. I would love to have a sturdy shelf to put these books on in order to display them for my class. It will engage my learners more to see what their options are.

The teachers pay teachers gift card will allow me to get hands on stations for my students for word work and a QR reading station where students can listen to a variety of books and work on their comprehension. These items will be ones that are engaging as well as simple enough for my 5 year olds to do on their own. It is time to enhance our literacy stations and make them even more invested in their learning.
