Literacy Project Based Learning

Help me give my students the basic classroom supplies such as notebooks, Play-Doh, colored pencils, and paint for literacy project-based learning.

My Project

My students are considered ESOL, ELD, and English III. My students often have disabilities that require specialty projects as well as other special needs and therefore require an adapted learning method.

Project-based learning is the best way I have found for my students to learn and retain information.

My students are required to write and create in a journal at each class meeting and I encourage them to be as imaginative as they would like. They often draw and write or try to create their own graphic short stories.

I look at students who may not participate, but when they use the materials for a project-based learning assignment in our class, they do so with more enthusiasm. With the funding for these classroom materials, my students have a chance to excel while learning English through our journaling project-based learning assignments.

We learn by doing, and with these supplies, my students can and will be doing many projects. The generous support of your donation makes it possible for my students to develop language and reading skills through project-based learning! Thank you for your contributions.
