Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love that I have a diverse set of students every year. This year I have 6 different first languages spoken by my students. They come from America, Mexico, Brazil, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Somalia. They come from different socioeconomic backgrounds as well.

My goal is to provide them with rich language lessons in phonics, phonemic awareness, and story telling.

They will use the felt story retell items to retell stories with their classmates. They will use the sound and rhyme sorts to practice phonemic awareness. They will use the letter tiles to form and read words.
