Literacy Library

My Project

Sensory and hands-on tools allow children to explore their world through their senses. They play an important part in any learning experience. My fourth through sixth grade students want to create a lending library for at need students in our building and community.

When kids can see, smell, touch, and even hear something, the learning experience is more meaningful to them.

Your donation will provide literacy activities from Lakeshore Learning and Literacy activities from Teachers Pay Teachers to students. My intermediate students will have a literacy day after school to celebrate summer and invite primary students and parents in to learn about the importance of summer reading. All resources will then be available for students and parents to check out through my Literacy Lending Library. Intermediate students will mentor the primary students. The Lending Library materials will provide hands-on activities to help them learn.
