Literacy Learning Through Art!

Help me give my students UCreate mixed media art paper and tempera paint sets in order to turn their imagination and creativity into visual works of art.

My Project

My students love to work with art supplies, but our classroom has a very limited selection. Oil pastels, tempera paint, and UCreate mixed media paper will allow my students to express their creativity while exploring new mediums.

Students will be inspired to create their own beautiful unique works of art after shared readings of the books: Beautiful Oops, The Dot, and ABCs of Art.

Literacy skills will be integrated into student learning while exploring aspects of art. Students will continue to work towards having a growth mindset as is seen in the book Beautiful Oops. They will be able to use the ABCs of Art to discover inspirational artwork and various styles from across the world to help guide them on their own artistic journey.
