My Students

My students are awesome! I teach at a Philadelphia public school that qualifies for Title I funding. My entire class qualifies for free breakfast and lunch. Most of my students live in a single-parent household and some of them are being cared for by a foster family or extended family members.

Despite the challenges my students face, they come each day with a great attitude.

Many of them have faced hardships that you would never want any child to ever experience. I provide a safe, nurturing environment where kids can learn and progress.

My Project

Students are expected to return to in-person learning for the upcoming school year. One of the many guidelines that must be adhered to is to provide students with personal learning tools.

Please help me provide personal literacy learning tools for my kiddos!

Students will be able to respond and share their responses using individual dry erase boards and markers. This allows each learner to be engaged and have a voice every day. I and other teachers will be able to check their responses at a distance to ensure the safety of all learners.
