My Project

Now more than ever, Kindergarten students need hands-on learning. This year I have an energetic group of students who learn the best with manipulatives and games. They have a desire to learn and play.

With a shift to the Science of Reading, phonological and phonemic awareness are critical to the success of our early learners.

These materials will allow my students to build these skills in the way they learn best. Using these materials during play will allow students to build social and emotional skills while working with their peers.

The trays will help students organize their letters and their sounds. The magnetic letter chips will be used for an array of activities along with the wands. The sand and Play-Doh will be used in sensory bins to enhance literacy and math skills. The decodable books will give students a chance to practice their skills within the text.
