My Students

The students visiting our classroom are pre-k age through 5th grade. They love our special retreat away from their classrooms. It's a place for them to feel comfortable while learning to read and complete language activities. Some of our students have communication needs, some have learning needs, some have attention needs and some just love to be needed! All of our students are full of energy, highly eager to learn and have a smile on their face when they see our inviting space!

My Project

We are requesting bungee chairs, bean bag chairs and loungers to update our Literacy & Language Lounge! Many of our students have sensory needs so these types of chairs will fit perfectly into their educational plans.

This project update will make a huge difference in our classroom.

It will allow us to update the section of our room we have devoted to students being able to sit or lay back and read. We strive to create a relaxing atmosphere for our students.

When reading doesn't come easily, it usually isn't too fun for kiddos so we are wanting to continue to keep this project alive to help our kids have an enticingly safe place to practice their literacy skills.
