This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are English language learners who come from different countries with very little English and many different needs. They come to school every day eager and ready to learn. I will like some resources to provide literacy and phonics instruction to support their journey to learn English.

We believe language development support, helps all children succeed academically.

Phonics helps students understand how letters represent sounds in words—without knowing this, it would be impossible to read! I am requesting some resources like the UFLI program and Teachers Pay Teachers that I can use to help develop and strengthen the skills my students need to be successful. The UFLI program uses strategies that addresses students needs and build upon what they know.

These skills are critical for my students literacy development and I want to provide them the best chance to be successful.
