This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are excited to fall in love with reading and we need more, current books in our small library. Seeing my students choose their reading material from new, engaging texts increases their eagerness to learn.

My Project

The books listed in my project were selected with the help of my students. They chose books that are high interest to them that they would love to get in their hands!

By giving them choice in their reading, at a variety of reading levels and content areas, they will have full control of what stories they want to read ranging from adventure to history and young adult fiction to graphic novels.

By reading more consistently we not only want to increase their literacy skills, but encourage their love for reading.
