Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students' primary language is Spanish, and they are in the bilingual class. I wish for the kids in my class to have a variety of literacy materials and activities to have to use during whole and small group time. Many of my students do not have their own headphones, so they are in need of headphones for when they are working with literacy programs and listening to stories. The Teachers Pay Teachers gift card will be used to purchase literacy resources that focus on phonics skills and reading.
The students in my class want to learn as much as possible.
I have requested Bingo games that focus on identifying vocabulary and spelling said words. The literacy workbooks will be great for the kids to practice letter writing and sight word recognition. The picture books will be read during read aloud time and during independent reading. I am confident that the materials requested will help my students practice and enhance their literacy skills.
