Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a second-grade dual language teacher in California. All of my students are bilingual, learning English and Spanish in an awesome dual-language program. I have a very fun and active class. Most of the time, my students like to work on the floor or standing up. They often need brain breaks to get their bodies moving. My students are kinesthetic and visual learners who thrive with movement and technology. They look forward to brain breaks, meditation, and anything involving art, music, science, and technology.

All students can benefit from being taught phonics in a systematic and structured way. With fun literacy games from Really Good Stuff, I will be able to enhance the Spanish and English litearcy time to promote higher-level learning for all of my students.

The activities are interactive and can be scaffolded, which enhances learning for all learners with various needs.
