This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students and teachers are in need of resources they can use daily to help increase their literacy skills. The books will be a great asset as they give students a variety of titles and subjects to choose from. I will use the magnetic writing sheet and sentence strips to post vocabulary words as well as poems we are currently working on. This visual will be a resource my students can refer back to throughout the day. The power pens and quiz card set are something I have seen my colleagues use, and they have been successful.
Word families are something we use to help beginning readers build confidence and feel successful.
The word family practice cards and word family readers will be used for this. The stands will be used to hold all of our new books and help create a welcoming environment for all.
