This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love the innocence of my students, but also love when they kind of know what's going on in the world. Teaching them to read is very meaningful for me. I know they are just kids and will probably forget me in the years to come, but if I can make their experience a little better while helping them learn I feel like I have done my job. I love how we are able to cheer each other up instantly.

I want the students to have a variety of options when choosing a book.

I often ask the students about books they enjoy reading. I chose these books to help with fluency and also teach them about other people and things. The games will help with students practice cvc words, short, and long vowel sounds. The dry erase markers and sheet protectors are for guided spelling.
