This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember what it was like to work with your friends in class? Literacy centers help the students learn together!

My third grade students attend an inner-city public school and are eager to learn everyday.

They love listening to me read to them and hearing about different experiences I had as well as other students. They are very thoughtful and caring students even though a few of them are struggling not only in school but out of school as well. Their spirits are high and their determination is amazing!

My Project

These resources you donate to us will help these students understand the importance of literacy in their lives. Literacy is used everywhere and many of them struggle with what we see as something ordinary or simple. These centers will reinforce reading and writing skills while providing a student-based learning experience. They will also learn how to work together as a team by learning from each other.

Your donation will make a difference by providing these students with materials they will use everyday and help them grow not only academically but socially as well.

These centers will reinforce skills on a daily basis to promote higher-order thinking.
