Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school serves a community of hardworking families, the majority of which qualify for free breakfast and lunch. These families have recognized the value of being bilingual and have opted to enroll their children in a program where they will be immersed in another language.

We need things like magnetic letters, white boards, games and puzzles, to create engaging and fun literacy centers.

Please help our classroom by providing some of these wonderful items.

I currently have a combination 22 students, 8 Transitional Kindergarten and 14 in Kindergarten who are eager to start centers!

My Project

I have 22 students who are eager to learn a new language. They need activities to keep their hands busy and minds engaged during our Guided Reading hour. During Guided Reading kids work independently at centers while the teacher meets with a small group to teach reading.

These centers will keep my Kinders engaged while learning a new language.

My wish list includes things like magnetic letters, games, containers for storage, and other basics to help keep centers organized. These items will create a writing center, word study center, and a name writing center. I can't wait to see my students enjoying these wonderful materials in our classroom.
