My students need some updates in their literacy centers: 3 cardio ball chairs for better seating for the computer center and 2 iPod shuffles for the listening center.
Every day my students come into our classroom excited to see what's on the schedule for the day. They particularly love whole group reading, small group reading and reading center time. During small group reading and center time, they get to practice many of the literacy skills that they have been learning about in a way that is engaging, exciting and fun!
My students and their families live in smaller towns or rural areas that are part of a growing school district.
My Project
My students are part of a growing school district. With a growing population comes the fact that my classroom doesn't have enough equipment or technology for my students to use during literacy centers.
Being able to provide new equipment and technology for my students would help foster their excitement for learning.
I would love to have more iPod shuffles so that more of my students can hear great literature being read to them. Another update that my classroom would benefit from is new seating for my computer centers. The new types of "chairs" would allow my students to be engaged at the same time they are able to move around and wiggle a little.
