My students need a portable projector and a radio boo box to improve our Literacy Block.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Ip's classroom raised $247

My Students
Our kindergartners are really eager to learn, and the donation of a projector and a radio would greatly help our Literacy Block.
As a first year teacher, I was really excited when I first entered the classroom.
This must be even more so for our dear kindergartners. Our kindergartners are eager to learn, and I remember their faces when I first showed a youtube phonics video on my Dell laptop back in September. Though the class of 25 had to crowd in to see such a small screen, they still enjoyed the video. However, I noticed that it was inadequate. The students were not able to see clearly. We could not play any interactive videos, such as the GoNoodle exercises, because not everyone can see the screen. I spent the past few months looking through DonorsChoose for the most efficient items needed for our classroom. I believe in the quote, "Waste not, want not." That's why I am very precise in the selection of items and posting what we most urgently need. Our students would benefit most if we had a portable projector and a radio boombox to improve our Literacy Block.
My Project
The portable projector will allow students to practice phonics and math dances, watch science and social studies short clips, dance to GoNoodle videos for movement break, and use technology for their learning everyday.
The radio boombox will allow students to practice phonics songs, sing along with sight word CDs, sing along with calendar songs, and use the cassettes and CDs for their Listening Center.
Donations to this project would provide for our needs of multimedia learning in the classroom through songs, dances, videos, movement breaks, and such that are developmentally appropriate for kindergarten.
We have gone a long way in reusing the items from the previous kindergarten class, and we would be very grateful if we could have a brand new projector and radio for our Literacy Block.
