This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
This is my third year as a speech language pathologist. My students have taught me so much and have made me into the educator that I am today! My students are eager to learn in fun and new exciting ways. The majority of my students are from low socioeconomic backgrounds and have significant academic delays.
My Project
By using books in speech language therapy provides a focused opportunity to listen to language and practice each student's own developing speech, language, and communication skills. Books help children's speech, language, and communication skills throughout their childhood, in varying ways. Books spread our positive views and also popularize the fruits of our research and knowledge. Books are our permanent friends as they help enrich our thoughts. They inspire us to fight the odds and do great things in life. This classroom library would be utilized during speech sessions and will be provided to students to take home as well.
