Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My students are faced with so many challenges in education, they have not had the opportunities available to them that others have. We need to give them the tools to make their education more powerful
My students are extremely hardworking, but they face many challenges in their lives.
Eighty-three percent of the students in our school are economically disadvantaged. They struggle with so many issues outside of the classroom. And I don't want them to have any limitations to their education inside the classroom. Most of them have to go home and worry about if they are going to eat dinner or have somewhere to live. They deserve to have a school environment where they can put all these worries aside.
My Project
Having access to a classroom laptop will provide many educational advances to my students. Some of the things I plan to do with my students include projecting my lessons so that that not only hear the lesson, but they can also see charts and graphs for the lesson. I also plan to have the students use the laptop to do research for our upcoming nonfiction unit. This will help link my students learning to the digital world.
My students deserve an education that is not limited by the lack of available resources.
They have faced more in their short lifetimes than I have had to deal with in mine. They are incredibly strong individuals who are ready and eager to learn new things. I want to provide them with the opportunity to come to school and experience the latest technologies. Please help this come true for us!!!
