Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Kindergarten can be a lot of fun, but my students are expected to read, write, and be proficient in math by the end of their year in kindergarten. My students need activities that will keep them engaged while learning and mastering these different skills.
My students enter my classroom knowing very little English and have not had much exposure to early literacy or math skills.
They are great kids who love to learn, but they need to be provided with the resources to expand their knowledge and love of learning. Work stations is one of their favorite times during the day, and I want to be able to provide them with resources to make that time fun and meaningful for their learning.
My Project
With these resources my students will have many more opportunities to expand their learning during work station time. They will be able to make real life connections to their learning through the use of the alphabet tubs. The instant learning centers will provide them with multiple ways of learning different skills such as letter sounds, rhyming, spelling words, adding, subtracting, counting, and so much more. These resources will provide fun and engaging activities for my students to practice with every day in the classroom.
These materials will bring learning to a whole new level in our classroom.
They will bring more excitement, fun, and engagement to our work station time every day. All students learn differently, so these resources will bring a variety to our classroom and help all of my students to be able to learn and grow. I am excited to see these resources being used in my classroom and the excitement on the student's faces when they receive new materials and supplies!
