My students need a listening center with books on tape, books, and a variety of literacy games and activities that will enhance their classroom literacy experience.

My Students

My class is full of a group of eager to learn, energetic, bright, happy and enjoyable second graders.

They absolutely LOVE to read and look for any opportunity to pull out a book and get lost in a new adventure. They absolutely love to learn and enjoy classroom challenges.

My Project

I provide several opportunities throughout the day for my students to explore new ideas and practice important skills. They visit learning centers, work in small collaborative groups and receive small group instruction on their instructional level. By having a variety of literacy activities, my students have more of an opportunity to work independently and practice important skills. By continuing to add to our library, adding a listening center, and having a selection of word study games, my students will have a more enhanced literacy experience.

This project will help my students because it will improve the quality of our literacy activities by providing my students with a rich learning experience.

My students need several opportunities to interact with meaningful activities to better support their literacy development. By having phonics games and puzzles, a listening center, and several new books- my students will end second grade with a BANG!
