This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

During the Covid-19 years, many of our students were home and learning on a computer. They are having a hard time with their social emotional learning as well as literacy. These books will provide support in both areas. Reading for fun as well as leaning how to express themselves and cope with problems in a more positive way. This would allow our students to strengthen their literacy skills. It will also allow them to read and understand their feeling and emotions are valid but how to deal with them properly. This will help with building stronger friendships and help to foster a more peaceful and engaging environment.
