Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Learning to read should be engaging, thought provoking, and inspiring. Giving students access to classic literature will enable them to strive for literary success!

My students are thirsty for knowledge and eager to read a variety books.

Our school is high-poverty, where more than 95% of our students receives free or reduced price lunch. Despite the monumental challenges that my students face before they even arrive each morning, they arrive with a passion to achieve.

My Project

My students love shared reading! They are always eager to dive into new fictional worlds. In order to help my students successfully meet the Common Core standards, they need access to appropriate resources. These leveled reading books will provide the rigor my students need to meet our new standards and goals.

It is crucial that each student reads books that are the best fit for their learning needs and goals.

These leveled readers will provide a variety of genres for each student to enjoy during our Daily 5 routine.
