This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work with students who commit extra hours to accelerate their learning so that they can excel in college. All of them spend this time to create a legacy of success for themselves, their families, their school, and the community.

My Project

The dry erase markers and boards will allow students to work in groups to analyze questions and create visual models. Over the past six years, we have found that our students can fill multiple years of gaps with this process. In fact, ACT recognized us as one of the highest growth low socioeconomic campuses. Currently, we are trying to move to a paperless format, but most of our students do not have iPads, so they are limited by this technology gap. The iPad will be the first of our class set.
