This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
These items will reduce the use of paper in my classroom. We will also be able to reuse these items for years. These sensory items will give student the practice they need with decoding- where they are able to sound out letters and blends the sound to determine the word, reading to help build their fluency- the speed and accuracy at which once can say and or call words in isolation and words in context as well as their comprehension- by matching the word to the picture and the sentence to the picture to should understanding. My students will be using these materials during their reading time at different stations.
