This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Literature circles in the classroom are one of the most powerful ways students can connect with stories, ideas, and each other. I am hoping to build a small collection of high-interest novel sets so that students can read and explore in small groups.
Through literature circles, students don’t just read — they discuss, reflect, challenge ideas, and learn from each other’s perspectives.
It’s one of the most engaging and meaningful ways to grow as readers and as people.
Having a wide variety of fresh and relatable books that students can choose from will help fuel conversation, collaboration, and a love of reading. Thank you so much for supporting collaboration, literacy, and the joy of shared reading in our classroom.
