This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Since the beginning of this school year, I have tried my best to provide much needed resources (digital) to support my students learning outcome to improve their literacy skills. Working at a title 1 school, funding is not available at times to meet the needs of my students. Since August until now, I have provided my own resources (headphones, wifi hotspot devices, personal laptop use) for my students to support their reading needs specifically the technology piece. Our current software program requires students to actively listen to complete the academic vocabulary comprehension skills, which unfortunately I do not have headphone devices for all students. Due to limited headphones, students are unable to complete their academic vocabulary. This donation will greatly increase the motivation for students to grasp the application usage of vocabulary with quality tech adaptations.
