My Students

We are a BRAND NEW SCHOOL IN BROOKLYN and are trying our best to give our students the BEST education possible! Some of our student's are realizing the power of a story and how it can take you to another place in your imagination!

Our students are an electric and eager bunch of young learners who are appreciative and thankful for all that is given to them!

Greetings and Happy Holidays! We are a first year Middle School which currently serves 6th grade only. We have two small classes. We opened our new school and I met my classes for the first time just three months ago. We had our academic program set for the year long before we knew our kids. In addition to getting to know them academically (reading levels, math scores, etc...) we invested time and effort in getting to know their likes, dislikes and preferences. Listening to literature and other avenues of recorded learning are a huge LIKE!

My Project

Have you ever tried listening to music or a book on tape with speakers or headphones ? Our BRAND NEW school does not have ANY headphones for "Listen to Reading" Centers and/or classes in which listening will greatly improve student learning! It makes it difficult to listen to a book, reading program, or educational video without headphones. We looking to provide each student the opportunity to have a pair of headphones readily available to them at all times!

I hope this project will help students to increase their reading levels and boost their test scores by enabling them to learn in a different way!
