This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Having the opportunity to use headphones means that my students will have the chance to use audio functions on specific educational applications, specifically during Math, Reading, and Science. Because our school has a 1-to-1 ratio of students to devices, every student is able to have personalized learning.

When students feel they are important and valued, they are more likely to be engaged and have the motivation to strive for their very best.

In order for each student to have a personalized learning experience, they need the option of having their own set of headphones to use in which allows them to focus and feel their experience is individualized. Having their own set of headphones will make them feel valued and encouraged to do their best.

If my students are given this opportunity to have their own headphones to use in the classroom, it will improve both their learning and confidence. Because headphones are costly, many students are not able to afford their own. Having an opportunity to be able to have their "own" set of headphones dramatically increases their confidence to perform their best on specific applications when using technology. Lastly, their learning will benefit tremendously, as the noise level caused by multiple devices will no longer be a distraction if every child is able to use their own headphones.
