My Students

My students attend a Title 1 school in a low socioeconomic community. The percentage of students who are economically disadvantaged is over 50%. Many of my students are from economically disadvantaged homes. All of them are learning that life is full of complexities.

Ignacio Estrada stated, “If a child can’t learn the way we teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn.” I want to provide my students the supports they need to meet the challenges they face.

One simple support that I can offer my students is the ability to engage in digital learning.

My Project

Help enable my students to hear their laptops and focus on their learning in subject areas such as math, literacy, and science. My students deserve headphones that are well made and long-lasting. These headphones provide volume control on each headphone set, and will allow students to better hear and comprehend the lessons they use online.

My students are in desperate need of durable, dependable headphones that will last for years to come.

The headphones we currently have are older and of poor quality. Often students will bring their own from home to supplement the lacking supply and risk their own being damaged. I would like them all to have the same access to resources in our inclusive classroom.
